I start with a shameless plug: This Saturday on Game Day With Wray, you will hear an interview with the CFL's senior V.P. of football Glen Johnson.
During our discussion, Johnson made an encouraging comment when it came to video replay. "There has to be indisputable evidence for us to overturn a call."
In the opening week of the season, there were at least three close calls up for debate.
One of those came in the Montreal vs. Saskatchewan game when Bakari Grant came very close to fumbling the ball on the goal line.
There were two very close plays in the Calgary vs. Ottawa game as well.
Video review is here to stay in every professional sport.
Every attempt possible should be made to get calls right.
However, to hear that the CFL is going to give the benefit of the doubt to human judgment shows respect for officials who have worked hard in their career to get to the professional level.
